Was it me or did the puck seem extra bouncy? Both teams struggled to settle it. And almost every pass was just a bit off target. Puck possession was difficult for both teams to maintain. So I'm just going to forgive and forget all the times the Bruins turned the puck over.
Nathan Horton's goal was a beautiful thing to behold. He's going to become the keystone player on this team in the playoffs. Without the unique combination of scoring and physicality that he brings, that Krejci line will be ineffective. And we saw what can happen when that line is effective.
We've been spoiled by goalies in Boston. Rask and Thomas have alternated between back-up and starter, and both have been good enough to start. Now we have Anton Khudobin. He's talented, but inexperienced. He doesn't read the play very well. So his role on the team should be much more limited than we're accustomed to.
The B's host the Devils tonight.

The crazy thing is, we still could be spoiled if Thomas wasn't a self aggrandizing douche and took his puck and went home. We are going to make the playoffs and that's a given, what scares me the most is how Rask will do in the playoffs. If he responds well and we win it, we can all forget about Thomas' douchyness, if not, it will tarnish my views of him even more.
100 percent agree
Anti-Thomas people amaze me. They hate the man because he's not here. So they want the man they hate to be playing on their team. Makes loads of sense.
According to this guy, if the B's lose with Rask, it will tarnish his views on Thomas, because Thomas would have been proven to be a great goalie. Again, makes loads of sense.
That douchebag, wanting to spend time with his family instead of being a back-up goalie or being traded to make cap space. Such a douche move to not be loyal to a team that wasn't going to be loyal to him.
God I hate that douchebag, and how he carried the Bruins to the Cup. What a douchebag. He did that in such a douchy way.
You're wearing 2011 Stanley Cup Champions hats and t-shirts because of that douche.
Rob the family cop out is as real as Manti Teos gf.
I think the stuff with Thomas comes from the painful place for all Bruins fan. Everyone loved him, he won the Cup for them, and then he had to go out and make it incredibly hard to like him. He is like Schilling on steroids.
Really? He's like Schilling? On steroids? Did he get taxpayer money to start a video game company?
I don't know, Dave. His choices were to stay here and possibly be traded, possibly be a back-up, and be criticized for his political beliefs. Or move to Colorado where it's nice and quiet.
I don't think the family thing is a cop out because that's what he's evidently doing. He's not playing for another team, he's not in the media, he's been out in the wilderness keeping to himself.
If it wasn't for family or peace and quiet, DP, then what was his motivation?
He's still getting paid this year to sit out like a baby. If none of that social media stuff happened, I would bet he would still be playing for the Bruins.
He isn't getting paid a cent.
